|
Quite simply - the event was not fit for purpose. |
|
|
It is the
responsibility of the event organizer to bear the risks of such an event
- not the ticket holder, unless this is made a contractual condition of
purchase. Mr. Jager is trying to pass on his contractual obligations to
the ticket holder - this is not lawful. We can not be held responsible
for his negligent incompetence. |
|
Health and
Safety Executive |
In addition to the shambolic exhibition, serious health and safety issues were raised. The room was overcrowded, people were allowed to pay on the door with no attempt to record or control numbers. The venue is not suited for this kind of event - people were standing on their seats to glimpse a view of the three-minute show. It was too dangerous to dance on a reduced dance floor cluttered with tables and chairs. If you suffered any injury on the night you must report it. |

Bury Council Tel: 0161
253 5000 |
Bury Council is responsible for the Longfield Suite. It is not acceptable to hire this facility to an incompetent and negligent events organization. It is the duty of the Council to protect us from unscrupulous operators - not support them. We have asked for evidence of "event specific risk assessment" and "event insurance", which should have been implemented before the event took place. Up to date we have not received a reply from Bury HSE. |

BBC Complaints |
The BBC is no way connected to this event. But Jagers "Strictly Come Dancing Events" with the assistance of Vincent and Flavia are exploiting their association with Strictly Come Dancing and Children in need, for their own financial gain. Vincent, Flavia and Ronald Jager are making a great profit from false promises, with no consideration for the audience's enjoyment or personal safety. |
|
The Manager |
Senior management was responsible for allowing this fiasco to take place. In addition the event was promoted on the premises. This was a public event, which should have undergone rigorous safety checks and the competence of Mr. Jager to stage such a high profile event questioned, before the event took place. This facility was rented out on similar terms to a wedding reception. To add further insult to injury the senior management team intends to let Mr. Jager stage more events in the future. |
|
BBC Watchdog |
Simply put we have been made the victims of an unscrupulous events organizer. Mr. Jager has made an obscene profit from an advertised event, which did not take place. In addition we have been let down as a result of systemic negligence, by Bury Council and the Longfield Suite management. |

Please be patient this website is still under construction - We did not expect a night out at a Jagers Event in a Bury Venue, would result in us having to create a website to fight for our consumer rights. |
